Towel Pillows
Ahhhh!! I sewed something! I can't believe it. I purchased a sewing machine 12 years ago, never used it so I gave it away 8 years later. Fast forward to 2 months ago and you'll find a new old vintage Singer sewing machine dans ma maison.
Still afraid but oh so determined to figure things out, I googled and youtube-d my heart out. Finally, a tutorial that showed me exactly how to thread my machine. Who knew the bobbin was that important? Ha ha. I laugh now.
The first thing to hit the machine was another set of towels I never let my family use(how could I-they are so pretty). They will adorn my bed as accent pillows(really, really, small ones). I know I have a long way to go, tons to learn, but I am very happy with the result. I can't wait to show you pics of my cool old Singer. Stay tuned.
Au Revoir
And do you know what would be absolutely brilliant about these? If you go to bed with wet hair (my children do) then the towel pillow would dry it all up! That's brilliant.
ReplyDeleteoh, and they look fabulous as well.
clever, clever you!
You did a great sewing job for it to be your first try. I love the idea of a towel for the same reason above. Sometimes my hair is a little damp when I go to bed.
ReplyDeleteHope your Memorial Day Weekend is great......

Sewing was never my thing. Cooking was more to my taste, but do not even do much of that anymore. I do believe you are using your machine very well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love to sew too!
